An initiative to improve the energy efficiency of the shop, with funds raised through community pledges and grant applications, has led to significant financial savings and CO2 reduction.
We offer quality fresh locally produced food as well as a broad range of general groceries at reasonable prices alongside a social area with tea, coffee and cake*, which reinforces the shop’s role as a social hub for the village.
Take a look inside...
Things that we offer include good locally baked fresh bread, cakes and pastries; locally sourced meat, cheese and deli items; milk and dairy products, as well as dairy alternatives; fresh fruit and vegetables; general groceries and household products; newspapers and magazines; wines, beers, ciders and spirits, a coffee shop with locally made cakes and pastries; postage stamps; locally produced gifts, cards and treats.
As a community shop, if we don't stock something you buy regularly, then ask if we can get it for you. Our prices are competitive and every purchase helps local people who rely on us to be there for them.
*Please note that the social area is currently closed due to social distancing measures.
However long the restrictions last, you can rely on us to be here to support you. Whether it’s daily essentials, local produce and treats, or a little takeaway to lift your spirits, we have something for everyone.
Can you volunteer about 2 hours per month to help us regularly deep clean the shop? Needed after business hours on evenings and /or at weekends. All materials and equipment provided.
