Come Wine With Us!

13 November 2019 by admin

Head on down to Farmborough Community Shop for a fun wine tasting evening where we will be pitting reds against whites to see who comes out on top!

We will be introducing the world’s first ‘Wine Swingometer’ to gather opinions and display the final result, as well as debating the burning questions of our time:

– what colour does Farmborough prefer – red or white?

– what three words describe each of the six wine candidates? and

– who will win the final vote to become PW (Prime Wine)?

‘Come Wine With Us’, Thursday 14 November from 6.30pm!

Cost to sample all 6 wines – £3.50, subsequent glasses of wine £3.50 each. Bottles of wine will also be available to purchase, along with any items available in the shop.

30 July 2019 by admin

Put it in your diary! Our Big Family Apple Day at the Shop and Memorial Hall Garden on Sunday 6th October from 10pm-2pm.

We will have an apple press that will turn all your apples and pears into tasty juice. Remember to bring a bucket or suitable container(s) to take it home! A small charge for pressed juice will be made to cover running costs.

No apples and pears? No worries! Come with friends and family to celebrate the abundance of local fruit, watch the apple pressing, play our fun family games, try your luck in our big prize raffle, and find out more about your community shop.

There will also be locally produced apple juice, bacon bap/veggie sausage stall and the shop will be open to browse and buy from 9am to 2pm with Sunday newspapers available.
